In 2007 I was privileged to replace Kim as the Manager of Youth and Community Programs at Speakout (Human Ventures).I enjoyed reaping the benefits of the outstanding work Kim had done in further developing and expanding the social enterprise creative industries engagement and training programs. She established a solid framework for benchmarking and evaluating a new holistic approach to supporting young people to connect with their communities and individual potential. She developed an organisational culture to enable a multidisciplinary team of professional social workers, trainers and artsworkers to deliver the organisational mission.
Kim advanced the program from an idea to an award winning initiative that was recognised nationally. Kim worked with diverse stakeholders to grow and develop the organisation and provide high-level strategic advice to the Executive and Board.
Kim built a strong rapport with all people and agencies she engaged with and developed strong and growing partnerships developed a highly effective team and demonstrated exceptional conflict resolution skills. That increased the reputation and sustainability of the organisation.Kim is an exceptional manager with extensive experience in the community and health sectors.
There’s no doubt that Kim has defined a more successful future for the way we consult with our clients. The process of developing a meaningful consultation program lead by Kim cut right to the issues that were important to our business, then followed a very efficient course for developing action plans, implementation, and follow up. We now have a path that really works!
Gillian Anderson, Commonwealth Care & Respite Services
Kim has a knack for gaining intimate understanding of the needs of our organisation in order to deliver informative, thought-provoking and practical training sessions. She draws on her professional experiences and skills in public engagement to facilitate, motivate and inspire groups. Kim is down to earth, connected with her community and has a good sense of humour which has added a dynamic and charming aspect to our full team staff training events.”
Gold Coast Recreation & Sport
We love working with Kim, she is smart, professional and has excellent experience, knowledge and a “Can do” approach to working with people, organisations and community. Kim is reliable, her communication skills are excellent and she has a knack of quickly getting participants engaged and actively contributing when working as a facilitator, strategic planner or grant writer. We keep our fingers crossed that Kim doesn’t have other work when we are looking for assistance.
Sue Graham, Multicultural Communities Council
Kim brings to the table a passion for innovation and strong leadership. I have seen her succeed time and again in uniting a team and workforce where others have failed, while hitting seemingly impossible targets along the way. Her project management skills across the board, but especially in a project’s germination, are in my opinion unparalleled and only rivalled by her willingness to ‘get the job done’. I have had the pleasure of working with and for her in both government and non-government environments and would jump at the chance to support her on any projects in the future.
